The Purpose of the Project.

The project includes elaboration of a comprehensive and coordinated Natural Disaster Preparedness Plan for Kazakhstan. The result will be the improvement of the co-ordination of actions in a system of warning and reduction of consequences of disasters. It seeks to detect and compensate for gaps in the current emergency planning.

The investment climate in Kazakhstan will also be improved by the introduction of international standards in the planning for the management of natural and man-made disasters.
