Mr. Petr Plekhanov (National Expert for Emergency Response) – Mr. Plekhanov also graduated from Kazakh State University. He received his diploma at the Institute of Geography, Academy of Sciences in Moscow in 1985. For eight years, he worked at the Institute of Geography at the Kazakh Academy of Sciences. Afterwards, he joined the Presidential Administration before finally coming to the State Committee on Emergency Situations. At the Committee, he was deputy head of the Emergency Preparedness Department. He has worked in natural disaster preparedness for over 25 years, has published over 50 articles and papers, has received training in Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary, United States and China.
